On the last day in Puerto Jimenez, we took the boat launch across the Golfo Dulce to Golfito. To get across the gulf, a ticket costs $4 each way, or 2,000 Colones. The first launch leaves at 6:00 a.m. Guess which one we took? Yep, we were on that first boat and saw the sun rise over the Osa Peninsula.

We visited Golfito’s waterfront with the new harbor that can accommodate mega yachts. We even saw a yacht that had its own website, Plan B.

After strolling along the area, we headed to the duty-free zone where you can purchase items without taxes but have to buy papers to purchase anything.

One of the most beautiful things about the Osa Peninsula is seeing the scarlet macaws flying overhead. They never disappoint.
